BYA Wrestling, Inc. will not promote and discourages any of our young athletes to cut (lose) weight. Cutting weight at young ages can be harmful to the healthy development of our young athletes.
Our young athletes are growing and developing very rapidly, and it is our responsibility that they are receiving the nutrients needed to also support their athletic activities.
Please share the presentation below with your wrestlers. We have provided some basic charts indicating target food groups, as well as classifications of harmful versus performance foods.
